আমাদের দেশে শিশুশ্রম বন্ধ করতে হবে

লেখার অংশ: চিঠি লেখা শিশুশ্রম বন্ধ করতে হবে বাংলাদেশে শিশুশ্রম গুরুতর উদ্বেগের বিষয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। আমাদের শিশুরা বিভিন্ন কাজে নিযুক্ত হচ্ছে। তাদের বেঁচে থাকার জন্য তাদের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় কাজ করতে হবে। তারা অমানবিক পরিবেশে কাজ করতে বাধ্য। তারা সকাল থেকে রাত অবধি দুর্দান্ত নিষ্ঠুরতায় কাজ করে। তাদের নিয়োগকর্তা বা মাস্টাররা নিরীহ শিশুদের হত্যা করার জন্য নির্যাতন, এমনকি মারধর করে। দেখে মনে হচ্ছে এই শিশুরা কেবলমাত্র ভোগ এবং শাস্তি বর্জন করার জন্যই জন্মেছে। তাদের দুর্বল শারীরিক গঠনের সাথে তাদের বড়দের মতো কাজ করতে হবে। এই শিশুরা কাঁদে, কাঁদে, কাঁদে তবে তারা জীবন উপভোগ করার স্বাধীনতা পায় না। তবে তারা আমাদের সম্পদ। তারা আমাদের অংশ। তাদের মৌলিক অধিকার আছে। তাদের অমানবিক আচরণ করা উচিত নয়। তাদের যথাযথ অধিকার এবং সুযোগ দেওয়া উচিত। তাদের অবশ্যই স্কুলে যেতে এবং সম্পূর্ণ নাগরিক হওয়ার সুযোগ দেওয়া উচিত। তারা যদি এগুলি থেকে বঞ্চিত হয় তবে সমস্ত দায় রাষ্ট্র এবং আমাদের উপর পড়বে। যদি তারা প্রতিটি সুযোগ পায় তবে তারা হবে আমাদের দক্ষ জনশক্তি এবং সম্পদ। এভাবে শিশুশ্রম বন্ধ করতে হবে। কেউ যদি শিশুদের শ্রমের সাথে জড়িত অবস্থায় খুঁজে পাওয়া যায় তবে তাকে অবশ্যই বইয়ে আনতে হবে। অন্যথায় আমাদের বৃহত্তম সম্পদ আমাদের নিজের হাতে ব্যবহার করা হবে। শিশুদের শ্রমের সাথে জড়িত করার জন্য লোকেরা তাদের খারাপ উদ্দেশ্যগুলি ছুঁড়ে ফেলতে হবে। তাদের বাচ্চাদের প্রতি আরও মানবিক এবং সৌহার্দ্যপূর্ণ হতে হবে।

They have to work at different places in order to survive their living. They are bound to work in inhuman atmospheres. They work from morning till night in great cruelties. Their employers or masters abuse, torture or even beat to kill innocent children. It seems these children are just born to suffer and forbear punishment. With their weak physical formation they have to work like grown up men. These children cry, they weep, they bemoan but they do not get freedom to enjoy life. But they are our wealth. They are our part. They have the basic rights. They should not be treated inhuman ways. They should be given due rights and opportunities. They must be given chances to go to school and become complete citizens. If they are deprived of these, all liabilities will fall on the state and us. If they get every chance, they will be our skilled manpower and asset. Thus child labor must be stopped. If anyone is found engaging children in labor, he must bring the book. Otherwise our greatest wealth will be abused at our own hands. People have to shake off their ill-motives to engage children in labor. They have to be more humane and cordial to the children.
